ABOUT THE JOB The College of Nursing is seeking a time-limited full-time Program Manager to work on the research team to support the graduate/undergraduate programs. The UC Early Intervention Program (EIP) will lead a regional implementation of the Ohio Department of Health's ED Comprehensive Care for substance use disorder (SUD) in 4 emergency departments (EDs) within 3 healthcare systems in Southwest Ohio. This role is responsible for programmatic oversight and implementation, identifying needs, developing work plans, and deploying appropriate resources/support to accomplish grant deliverables in coordination with the investigators. This position is fully grant-funded and projected to last for 2 years.
JOB OVERVIEW Manage, design, develop, modify, and present programs. Aid in the recruitment, supervision, and operations of an on-call peer recovery support program and substance use linkage to care coordinators. Assist with drafting standard operating procedures, program reports, and algorithms in consultation with the Medical/Program Director. Hold regularly scheduled project meetings with Project/Assistant Project Director, Internal, and External Partners, and Healthcare Systems. Assist in timely reporting of deliverables to Ohio Department of Health.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations. *Implement policies and procedures. *Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports. *Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations. *May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION *Bachelor's Degree. *Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE *Three (3) years of experience in program development or business administration. *May require supervision experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT *Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
