Essential Functions and Qualifications
As a Patent Prosecution Associate or Patent Agent at Sheridan Ross, your essential functions will include drafting and prosecuting US patent applications and coordinating responses to foreign office actions. In order to be successful in this role, we require the following qualifications:
- A degree in electrical engineering (required) and work experience in the field (preferred) - Juris Doctor (JD) degree (required for the Patent Prosecution Associate position) - 2-6 years of patent prosecution experience - Admitted to practice before the USPTO - Strong interest in electrical, electromechanical, and software engineering disciplines - Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies - Motivated self-starter with superb communication and writing skills - Commitment to excellence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
