Job Description:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Patent Paralegal to join our team in Vilnius, Lithuania. Responsibilities:
- Support a group of patent attorneys and patent practitioners in various EU countries with their prosecution dockets - Review, monitor, and clear out items from docket reports in accordance with internal protocols - File European regional stage patent application documents and ensure quality control of filings - Coordinate with Docket Team to create new application records - Conduct docket meetings with agents and attorneys - Review and respond to formal communications and prepare for filing - Draft inventor correspondence and support the employee invention remuneration process - Collaborate with colleagues in other legal department sites in the US and Europe - Immediately advise manager of any non-standard situations related to job functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in administration, social or technical sciences (master's degree preferred) - 1 year of experience in an administrative environment (experience with database tools preferred) - Experience in project management and process improvement is a plus - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat - Strong analytical and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a team environment, establish relationships with colleagues in remote offices, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining efficiency - Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail - Strong values of integrity, intensity, innovation, and involvement
