Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in contested patent matters, specifically before the PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board)
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to patent law and contested patent matters
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings
• Participate in client meetings and negotiations
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal support to clients
• Keep updated on changes and developments in patent law and regulations
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in at least one state
• Admitted to practice before the USPTO
• Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing patent law, with a focus on contested matters
• Excellent knowledge of patent law and procedures, specifically related to the PTAB
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools preferred
