Law Firm is seeking a motivated and intellectually curious Patent Agent with a background in life sciences to join our team. As a Patent Agent, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and collaborate with skilled patent attorneys. Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate invention disclosures - Prepare and prosecute patent applications - Conduct landscape studies, including analyzing third party patents - Collaborate with patent attorneys and receive formal and informal training and mentorship - Work with attorneys across our offices to serve both US and international clients - Value diverse perspectives, collaboration, and high-performance - Respect work-life balance and prioritize mentoring, training, and professional development
Qualifications: - Advanced degree in cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics, or digital health focused disciplines - Previous law firm or industry experience is a plus - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Organizational skills and ability to balance and prioritize work projects - Qualified to sit for the USPTO patent bar (required to take and pass exam prior to starting at the firm) - LSAT and imminent plans to attend law school strongly preferred
