Job Description
Lutron Electronics, a leading provider of innovative lighting control and shading solutions, is seeking a Patent Agent to join our IP team in Pennsylvania. This entry to mid-level position offers the opportunity to work alongside our Senior Patent Agent and collaborate with engineers to elicit invention disclosures, draft and prosecute patent applications, and contribute to our global IP strategy.

Experience Information:
- 1 year of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications - 3 years of software or hardware engineering experience preferred - Experience as a patent agent with a mix of law firm and in-house experience or solely in-house experience
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers to elicit invention disclosures - Draft and prosecute US and foreign patent applications - Manage US and foreign patent counsel - Assist with maintenance and growth of patent portfolios - Build and manage relationships with technical, business, and legal leaders - Provide proactive and efficient IP advice and services - Analyze potential risks and licensing requests - Conduct patent searches and provide assessments - Assist with development of educational materials and training - Maintain expertise in patent laws and relevant technology developments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant discipline - Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA - USPTO Patent Bar registration - Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
