Responsibilities: • File pleadings and notices in State, Federal, and administrative agencies • Maintain organized and accurate documents, letters/emails, pleadings, and other filings in the firm’s document management system • Create and maintain document production and privilege logs • Ensure compliance with court mandated deadlines • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint • Draft legal documents that adhere to the formatting requirements of State and Federal courts • Organize and file motions for summary judgment and other motions in State or Federal court • Knowledge of redaction requirements and discovery deadlines in State and Federal court • Review deposition transcripts and prepare summaries • Communicate professionally and promptly with all parties involved • Handle mailings of physical documents, including letters to pro se plaintiffs
Qualifications: • Two plus years of paralegal experience in a civil litigation context with State or Federal courts • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines • Problem-solving skills to best serve the client
Required License or Certification: • Paralegal certificate is a plus
