Work type: Part Time Hourly Location: Bloomington, IN Categories: Office/Clerical, Student Affairs/Student Services General Description of Position: The Financial Aid Assistant is responsible for providing general financial aid customer service and administrative support to the Financial Aid Office. Major Responsibilities: Student Advocacy and Customer Service Provide strong customer service and/or student advocacy as demonstrated through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, and desire to identify and support student success. Provide Tier 1 services for financial aid to support student, staff, faculty and other College personnel. Respond to telephone, email, and mail inquiries. Contact students by phone, email and/or text to resolve financial aid issues. Assists Enrollment Services with operational tasks as deemed appropriate, including campus and departmental events. Administration Image and verify financial aid documents and follow protocols for ensuring security and accuracy of student files. Image and upload documents for FAFSA verification. Review reports as needed to support the administration of financial aid and veteran education benefit services. Technical Support/Usage Maintain and update financial aid data on the student information and document imaging systems. Use a variety of different systems such as Banner, ScholarTrack, NSLDS in customer service interactions. The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.
