Nevada Legal Services (NLS) is a non-profit legal aid organization that is dedicated to ensuring fairness and providing free legal services to low-income individuals in every county in Nevada. We are currently seeking a Paralegal to join our team in Reno, NV and assist our attorneys in our Senior Law Project.
As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for providing support to our attorneys and staff by performing clerical duties, conducting intake, managing outreach, preparing legal documents, and maintaining case files. Your responsibilities will also include answering telephone calls and correspondence, maintaining records for grant reporting, and providing language assistance if you are fluent in a non-English language (Spanish fluency is a plus).
Requirements for this position include strong verbal and written communication skills, experience in a law firm setting, and proficiency in Adobe, Outlook, Word, and Excel. You must also have the ability to learn electronic case management systems quickly and efficiently. Most importantly, we are looking for candidates who have a passion for helping low-income individuals, seniors, veterans, and other communities in need across Northern Nevada.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel across Northern Nevada to meet with clients and conduct community outreach and education. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
