Law Firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in civil litigation procedures to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of practice areas and showcase your excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation process, ensuring smooth progression of cases, and providing critical support to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests. - Conduct legal research to support case strategy. - Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant documents, correspondence, and evidence are appropriately filed and readily accessible. - Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents. - Coordinate document production and discovery processes, including document review, analysis, and preparation for court submission. - Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other relevant parties to facilitate case progression. - Maintain and update case calendars, tracking important deadlines, court appearances, and key events. - Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions, including compiling exhibits, witness coordination, and logistical arrangements. - Provide administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, managing attorney’s calendars, and handling phone calls.

Requirements for Success:
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is a plus. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Civil Litigation Paralegal in a law firm or legal department. - Proficiency in legal research techniques and the use of legal databases. - Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures. - Demonstrated experience in preparing legal documents, drafting correspondence, and managing case files. - Familiarity with e-filing systems and electronic document management. - Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software. - Experience with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witness schedules. - Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and external parties. - Exposure to working within an office setting and an understanding of office dynamics. - Some familiarity with collections practices within a professional context.
Education:
- Associate Degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or a related field or relevant job experience. - Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Salary Range: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour
