We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our Litigation and Employment departments at our regional law firm in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in these dynamic areas of law, working alongside experienced lawyers in a supportive environment.

Our Chesham head office is conveniently located just a short walk from Chesham Station, with easy access to London and Hertfordshire. We also have offices in Amersham and Tring.
Role Overview
As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant in our Litigation and Employment departments, you will play a vital role in supporting our fee earners with case management and client service delivery. This is a hybrid role, which will allow you to gain experience in both areas of law and develop a broad range of skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support fee earners with case management from inception to conclusion Prepare draft correspondence and legal documents Manage new client enquiries and compliance matters Maintain case files and documentation Assist with court bundle preparation and pagination Support client meetings and take attendance notes Conduct legal research under supervision Help with business development activities Use our case management system (LEAP)
Required Skills & Experience
Previous experience in Litigation and/or Employment law preferred, though we welcome candidates with a strong desire to work in these areas Understanding of legal procedures in general litigation and employment matters Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal abilities Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of court procedures and deadlines Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct requirements Proficiency in written and spoken English
