Job Description
The law firm of Parker Poe in Raleigh, North Carolina is currently seeking a Paralegal to join their Health Care Litigation practice group. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a litigation Paralegal in a law firm or legal department, as well as an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and education. A Paralegal Certificate is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents • Trial preparation, including coordinating witnesses and managing trial exhibits • Electronic filings and docketing court filing deadlines • Assisting with document productions • Supporting other practice groups as assigned
Requirements:
• Five or more years of experience as a litigation Paralegal • Associate's degree or equivalent experience and education • Experience with one or more of the following practice groups: Litigation, Health Care • Proficiency in federal Electronic Filing • Experience with eDiscovery software; familiarity with Relativity preferred • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat • Experience using a legal time and billing system • Experience with trial presentation software preferred • Excellent communication and time management skills • Motivated, self-directed individual with ability to anticipate and resolve issues • Ability to prioritize work projects and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment • Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times
