Parker Poe, a top Southeastern law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Paralegal to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Corporate Paralegal at Parker Poe, you will have the opportunity to work with a tight-knit team that values the individual beyond their professional role. In this role, you will provide general corporate and transactional support to attorneys across multiple office locations, while also interacting with external clients and internal support staff. You will work closely with the Office Administrator and assigned attorneys, reporting directly to them.
Primary duties and responsibilities include administering and preparing documents for entity formations, mergers, conversions, and other transactions, as well as assisting with corporate transactions and post-closing tasks. To be successful in this position, you should have at least five years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or legal department, as well as a paralegal certificate or equivalent education and experience.
The ideal candidate will also have experience supporting a corporate practice group, preparing and filing documents with Secretaries of State and the Internal Revenue Service, and submitting requests for apostilles. Knowledge of the Corporate Transparency Act and Beneficial Ownership Information Reports to FinCEN is a plus.
In addition to strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, the successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe is required.
