Role Objective:
We are seeking a Paralegal with 2-5 years of experience to join our growing team at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** LLP in Rockville, MD. Our firm specializes in civil litigation defense and represents clients on a national basis, with offices in multiple states and the District of Columbia. As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the success of our cases.
Role Responsibilities:
* Review and analyze new case files and medical records * Gather medical records and other discovery materials through subpoenas, authorizations, and social media * Track, organize, and prepare discovery materials for counsel, experts, and witnesses * Assist attorneys with trial preparation and legal research * Serve guardianship notices to patients in local facilities * Maintain organized and accurate files in our document management system * Perform general office administration tasks
Role Requirements:
* 2-5 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on civil litigation * Paralegal certificate or licensure preferred * Experience obtaining medical records and preparing medical chronologies and deposition summaries * Familiarity with legal processes and procedures, specifically in Maryland * Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research programs such as Lexis Nexis * Creative thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills
