Work type: Part Time Hourly Location: Indianapolis, IN Categories: Other General Description of Position: Provide lab support for full-time and part-time faculty, including maintaining an orderly lab/classroom environment; maintain lab equipment; lab set-up and breakdown and/or cleanup and set-up of lecture demonstrations; prepare equipment for practice, order and receive supplies; perform inventory checks, assist students with practice. Major Responsibilities: Set up and tear down laboratory exercises and examinations for courses if asked to. Maintain an orderly and safe working environment in the Medical Assisting laboratories and preparation rooms. Prepare media and other materials to be used in laboratories. Monitor inventories and notify supervisor when supplies become low. Maintain laboratory record of activities and update the preparation manual as needed. Assist with student practice sessions. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Good verbal and written communication skills Organizational skills Ability to follow instructions Initiative to effectively address issues Basic medical assisting knowledge Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
