The Law Firm is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal for our Virginia Beach office. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the processes and procedures related to litigation and a strong work ethic. This position requires someone who can effectively manage the stresses associated with a busy litigation practice while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is required, and the ability to work occasional overtime is a must.

Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys with all aspects of the litigation process including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests • Conduct legal research and analysis • Compile and organize evidence and other documents for attorney review • Prepare and file court documents • Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the case • Maintain case files and calendars • Prepare for trials and attend hearings • Other duties as assigned by attorneys
Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting • Strong knowledge of Virginia court systems and procedures • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint • Ability to work well under pressure and manage a high volume of work • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal certificate preferred
