High Point University is seeking an Open-Rank, Non-Tenure Track, Tenure-Track, or Tenured Faculty Member for its School of Law. This position offers candidates the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with a holistic approach to legal education. The school is seeking candidates who have a passion for teaching, scholarship, and service and are well-suited to work in a collegial and student-oriented culture. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to join the inaugural full-time faculty and teach the first class of J.D. students, who will begin in August 2024.

Responsibilities: - Teach courses in the School of Law - Contribute to the scholarly mission of the School of Law - Advise and mentor students - Participate in law school and University service as assigned
Qualifications: Minimum: - Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school - Exemplary academic record - Demonstrated interest in teaching and student mentorship and in creating an inspiring, welcoming, and dynamic learning environment for all students - Clear commitment to legal scholarship - Excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with other law school faculty and staff - Willingness to contribute actively to the mission, vision, and objectives of the School and University
Preferred: - Relevant experience in the practice of law or in a related professional field - Successful completion of the bar exam in at least one U.S. state - Record of scholarly publications and presentations that contribute to the improvement of the law, legal education, and/or the legal profession - Active engagement in professional organizations, such as discipline-specific organizations and bar associations
