Office Administrator-Paralegal
The candidate to oversee the efficient day to day operations of a busy legal department. Day will consist of oversight of a busy legal office, including management of legal assistants, budget, and technology needs; paralegal responsibilities; oversight of legal matter workflows; billable hours and quality assurance audits. Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders; provide administrative office/staff oversight; and analytical perspective on business projects, programs and new initiatives. Develop a deep awareness of operations and process in order to add value, diagnose problems, research solutions and provide perspective that lead to process improvement activities and initiatives. Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, personalities, and stakeholders and provide solutions to issues as they arise. Operate with agility, sense of urgency, and drive to successful outcomes. Requires advanced knowledge of office management practicesand technologies, in a legal department or law firm setting. Should have prior work as a paralegal or advanced knowledge of law practices preferably related to workers’ compensation. Prior experience as an office manager with oversight of systems, technology and budget strongly preferred. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Prior supervisory experience desired. Demonstrated ability and technical savvy to work and report on system platforms and business unit workflows.
