New Business Intake and Conflicts Coordinator-NJ: Job Description, Salary and Requirements
Bressler, Amery & Ross, a leading law firm with a national presence, is seeking a New Business Intake and Conflicts Coordinator to join its team at the Florham Park, NJ office. This full-time position involves working from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
The New Business Intake and Conflicts Coordinator will be responsible for conducting conflict searches, obtaining clearance of conflicts, updating the conflict database, and handling new client and matter opening requests. The role requires close collaboration with attorneys and support staff to ensure smooth and accurate matter setup and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate conflicts reports using the firm's database and analyze and interpret them in accordance with professional conduct rules - Request and record all necessary conflicts resolution documentation, such as conflicts waivers or engagement letters - Provide support to the firm, partners, and offices for the New Business Intake (NBI) process - Thoroughly review new client and matter information submitted through the intake process and verify accuracy - Apply the terms of engagement to all client engagements and track and record exceptions to standard terms, if any - Generate new client matter numbers and maintain client and matter data - Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, attorneys, and clients - Identify opportunities for process, procedure, and technology improvements to enhance customer service and efficiency - Escalate issues promptly - Scan and retain records of new case information and supporting documentation - Assist with other tasks in the Billing Department as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a law firm in a business intake or conflicts role is preferred - Knowledge of 3E, Elite Enterprise accounting system is a plus - Ability to work additional hours as needed - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with attorneys, staff, and clients - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and work within deadlines - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel - High school diploma minimum
Salary:
The salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
