Job Description
We are looking for outgoing teachers and educators who have a passion for sharing nature with children ages 5-12. This role is all about leading children on adventures while outside at local parks around Austin and Cedar Park, TX. You will be showing kids how to identify plants, trees, animal tracks, make fires, build forts, carve with a knife and use ancient hunting tools from long ago; plus so much more! The position will last 11 weeks with an option at the end to stay and work our school year programs as a full time teacher. Camp training begins on May 21st and ends May 30th. Weekdays only. This will give you all the skills, training and tools needed to run an award winning camp like we are so known for. Camps run June 2nd to August 8th at Champion Park in Cedar Park and at Roy Guerrero Park in East Austin.
Please take some time to visit our website Natureversity.org and review our About Section to ensure this is a good fit for you as a job or career path. Our school isn't a revolving door of teachers. Some of our teachers have been here for 5 years now and they love the work they do. We are seeking someone similar who wants to grow their skills in the outdoors, go on amazing instructor training adventures across America and truly do what we all thought we would do when we signed up to be environmental educators for children. Don't pass up this opportunity!
