Segal McCambridge, a national law firm specializing in litigation, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team as a National Coordinating Counsel. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and in our New York office, with a salary range of $55,000 - $85,000 per year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing, analyzing, and distributing complaints and other pleadings - Administration and management of global extranet - Preparation of settlement documents and coordination with clients, local counsel, and plaintiffs' firms - Handling Medicare reporting and compliance - Conducting historical research on client information and documents - Preparation of quarterly client reports and presentations - Preparation of discovery-related documents - Drafting and sending reporting letters to clients, local counsel, and other stakeholders - Analyzing data for consistency and compliance - Collaborating with client representatives on discovery issues and depositions - Other duties as assigned by team attorneys
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a paralegal in civil litigation - Experience with asbestos litigation preferred - Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and legal terminology - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and proofreading documents - Proficiency in Microsoft products and electronic court filing and service applications - Ability to maintain confidentiality - Bachelor's degree - Strong interpersonal skills for communication with senior level individuals - Ability to follow instructions and work independently
