Seeking a Patent Attorney with 3 years patent drafting and prosecution experience. A mechanical engineering background is preferred. Salary commensurate with experience. Patent Prosecution/Legal Secretary Intellectual property law firm in Reston, VA is seeking Patent Prosecution/Legal Secretary. Successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of legal secretarial experience, patent prosecution experience preferred, to include: knowledge of USPTO procedures, experience in preparing and filing U.S. patent applications; drafting amendments and responses to the USPTO; and managing patent daily dockets. Experience with foreign filings a plus. Candidates must possess strong, effective communication and interpersonal skills; well developed organization skills with acute attention to detail, sound judgment and proven client relations ability; demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment; proven history of consistently meeting deadlines; and ability to handle confidential material with discretion.
