ABOUT CECH The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH), at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. JOB OVERVIEW Under general supervision of the Director of Student Recruitment & Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the development/implementation of marketing plans for the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Information Technology (CECH). The Marketing Coordinator will work with all four schools, Dean's Office, and various CECH centers to develop advertisements with promotional and print materials. The college has monthly and quarterly catalogs/newsletters that are sent out to CECH students, staff, faculty, and alumni that will be coordinated by this person. Additionally, this role includes the website creation/maintenance and social media strategy development for CECH. This person must have strong written and oral communications skills as they will be an integral part with CECH public relations.
This position has the potential for a hybrid work schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Develop, coordinate, implement and revise marketing plans and promotional materials. *Develop customer and department profiles; plan ads and media mix. *Assess, develop and coordinate public relations campaigns. *Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes. *Compile, update and report marketing data related to advertising and marketing programs. *Assist with the design, layout and writing of print materials. *Prepare/submit for approval budget and quarterly revision. *Recommend cost containment proposals where applicable. *Coordinate/evaluate bidding process regarding advertising and promotional materials. *Monitor progress/quality of bid packages. *Ensure student artists meet quality and style work standards. *Determine program schedules, deadlines, etc. REQUIRED EDUCATION *Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Education, Graphic Arts, Liberal Arts, Marketing, or related field. *Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE One (1) year of experience in development and implementation of marketing and/or advertising plans.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED *Create content for distribution across multiple channels, including websites, marketing collateral and social media. *Experience in developing a social media strategy and editorial calendar to promote college events and efforts. *Experience in creating marketing plans. *Serve as a resource for standards, best practices and guidelines around brand, visual identity, information architecture, content, and accessibility. Assist with strategies for keeping content fresh and dynamic. *Have some understanding of content management, SEO writing, writing for email campaigns and the creation of college-wide news stories. *Interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations on marketing opportunities and improvements. *Experience building websites in a responsive way (mobile, tablet, etc.): Lead project management of web content using UC brand identity and accessibility standards; Lead use of Google Analytics to drive web strategy, Conduct user testing, and/or analytical research to advance initiatives. *Complete marketing ticket requests daily. *Assist with event planning needs for the college. *Oversee student worker(s).
