We are currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Strategic Corporate Tax team in Seattle, WA. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and/or partnerships of varying sizes, from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses - Collaborate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations - Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry knowledge and experiences, advise clients, and deliver high-quality tax service and advice - Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients - Oversee teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects - Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager level:
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets - Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university - Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, or law firm - Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM (or willing to obtain one of these credentials within one year of employment) - Strong knowledge of ASC 740 - Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships - Solid experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager level:
- Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, or law firm - Experience mentoring and counseling staff/senior level team members
