POSITION OVERVIEW: The primary responsibility of the Manager of Contracts & Services is to work with suppliers and internal departments to negotiate best in class contracts and achieve the most favorable results for the organization.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *Collaborate and work closely with cross functional teams. *Lead category strategy, contracting strategy, supplier selection, and contract execution for outside service-related sourcing. *Lead contracting strategy, negotiations, execution, etc. for property related functions. *Interface with senior leadership to drive best in class supplier sourcing approach and selection. *Provide summary of procurement recommendation for senior leadership. *Supplier follow-up, including the establishment of Service Level Agreements and KPI's (Key Performance Indicators). *Collaborate with Legal Department to ensure favorable contracting terms. *Perform comprehensive & in-depth evaluations to ensure best-in-class category strategy matches the business roadmap. *Calculates total cost of ownership for category proposal and within every deal. *Ability to guide team analysis for the category and provide all dimensional guidelines to enhance category knowledge. *Conduct meetings with suppliers and stakeholders for long terms category strategies planning and continuous effort in cost savings. Seeks opportunity to improve category. *Initiates and manages change - A true change agent. Identifies the need for change management, and actively develops change strategies. Is seen at the forefront of change, while maintaining an affinity with the organizational impact of the process. *Identifies opportunities for change and leads organization through planning and implementation. *Safety is an essential function of this job. *Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. *Performs other related duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: *21 years of age. *Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. *High School Diploma or equivalent. *Bachelor's degree required in business, pre-law or equivalent experience with an MBA preferred. *Must be able to obtain and maintain any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. *5 years of experience in a Procurement Contract Management or a related field. *Strong expertise and track record of success in specific category expertise. *Able to drive strong stakeholder relationships partner cross-functionally to drive process and discipline, project management, sourcing data-based decisions. *Able to identify and effectively handle a range of conflict management situation *Strong senior management client engagement skills. *Previously negotiated and implemented large contracts. *Understanding of contract language both commercial and legal terms and negotiate best-in-class agreements. *Ability to redline contract terms and secure legal approvals. *Be able to champion the development of best-in-class category strategies along with sourcing and contracts for category. *Drive selection of suitable suppliers and comprehensive supply base management. *Drive sourcing selection based on total cost of ownership. *Use of (procurement) and sourcing technology / systems (Ariba is a plus). *Provide team leadership and have executive presence. *Ability to perform complex analysis for supplier and material contracts, develop long range commodity plans, streamline operational procedures, perform continuous improvement activities, and present project reports to senior management. *Knowledge of financial and cost management, contract management, and spreadsheet analysis. *Skills with Microsoft Office suite and spreadsheets are essential. *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. *Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
