Position Details
As a Litigation Summer Law Clerk, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our lawyers on various state and federal civil litigation cases, providing support in all aspects of the legal process. This includes conducting legal and factual research, analyzing issues, assisting with discovery processes, and participating in strategy sessions. This is a part-time position, requiring 25-40 hours per week, in-person at our Milwaukee office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal and factual research to support ongoing cases - Analyze issues and provide valuable insights for case strategies - Review documents for relevancy and legal issues with accuracy and efficiency - Assist attorneys with discovery processes, trial preparation, and other litigation tasks - Collaborate with attorneys on drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required - Currently enrolled as a second-year law student for the 2024-2025 academic year at an accredited law school - Demonstrated interest in litigation and trial practice, previous experience is a plus - Highly organized, goal-oriented, and efficient in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail - Previous work experience in a professional and fast-paced environment preferred
