The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a litigation secretary and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with Best Authority and PowerPoint is preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, transcribing, and revising legal documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with various case management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and transcribe legal documents - E-file documents with various courts - Generate tables for lengthy briefs - Create e-briefs with hyper-links for internal references - Maintain client files and retrieve cases on Westlaw - Assist with case management tasks, including trial exhibit preparation - Perform administrative duties such as time tracking, travel arrangements, and file management - Provide personal correspondence and travel assistance for firm lawyers
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a litigation secretary - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel - Intermediate skills in Best Authority and PowerPoint preferred - Strong proofreading and organizational skills - Ability to adapt to changes in firm procedures and policies
