Job Description
As a litigation paralegal, you will be responsible for:
• Legal and factual research • Drafting legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts and legal memoranda • Assisting lawyers in the preparation of pleadings and motions • Preparing and answering written discovery • Preparing correspondence • Organizing and tracking case files • Reviewing and monitoring new and updated laws and regulations • Helping with trial preparation including witness lists, exhibits and trial binders • Assisting lawyers in the courtroom • Accurately and timely submitting billing for work performed
Qualifications
• Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and the judicial system • Outstanding time-management and organizational skills • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to authoring accurate work. • Critical thinking • Stress tolerance • A desire to work collaboratively in a team. • Ability to multitask and work with a diverse client base. • 3 - 5 years of experience
Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from $50,000 to $65,000.
