Law Firm Seeking Experienced Litigation Paralegal in Fort Myers, Florida

Join our team at Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the rights of consumers. We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Fort Myers office. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys before, during, and after trials.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and complaints - Conduct legal research and fact-finding investigations - E-file court documents in state and federal court - Communicate with clients, court, counsel, and other parties involved in the case - Draft and serve summons - Coordinate and summarize depositions - Prepare trial binders and exhibits - Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents - Perform administrative duties such as calendar management, organizing case files, and managing logistics - Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes - Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests - Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties - Prepare witnesses for trial - Assist with case settlements - Other tasks as requested by the attorney
Qualifications:
- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred) - 2 years of litigation experience (required) - Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred) - Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury-related practice areas (preferred) - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with minimal supervision - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings - Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures - Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Extensive computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - Minimum typing speed of 35 wpm - Not eligible for remote work
