Position Overview:
- Seeking highly experienced and motivated Litigation Paralegal - Spanish Bilingual - Specializing in Employment Class Action cases - Ideal for recent graduate with paralegal certification - Thrives in dynamic environment - Eager to lead team in fighting against employer misconduct
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting motions and mediation briefs - Propounding and responding to discovery - Creating PAGA Letters and Complaints - Working with Third Party Administrators for Class Notices, Declarations, and Distribution Timelines - Organizing and maintaining law libraries, documents, and case files - Supervising questionnaire campaigns for class and PAGA cases - Drafting settlement agreements and MOUs - Maintaining attorneys’ calendars - Submitting electronic filings - Drafting and reviewing legal correspondence - Assisting with preparation and revision of various legal documents - Handling confidential and time-sensitive material
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (strongly preferred), Paralegal Certification - 1 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment and/or class action law - Superior legal research and writing skills - Knowledge of service deadlines for various litigation tasks - Familiarity with California Code of Civil Procedure - Familiarity with state and federal courts and agencies within labor and employment law practices - Bilingual (strongly preferred, but not required) - Excellent communication skills - Active listening and critical thinking abilities - Ability to work well under pressure - Neat and organized - Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities - Approachable and enthusiastic - Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and resourcefulness - Proficiency in software programs necessary for the position
