Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Petersburg Office) - Full Time

Job Summary:
- Experienced Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant with 3 years of Personal Injury plaintiff experience - Preferably with experience in Maryland/DC - Assists attorneys in preparation for meetings, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial - Drafts correspondence, pleadings, and discovery answers - Manages and audits liens associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation - Works within a case management system - Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Personal Injury plaintiff experience - Experience conducting Intake interviews with new clients - Familiarity with liens, including ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation - Experience with complex and high-volume cases - Proficiency in case management system
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Work in a general office environment, with long periods of sitting, occasional standing and walking - Visual capability to work on a computer monitor for extended periods of time - Ability to work around others in an office setting - Manual dexterity and ability to use office equipment such as phones, keyboards, and copiers

Job Duties:
- Assisting attorneys in various tasks related to litigation, such as preparation for meetings, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial - Drafting correspondence, pleadings, and discovery answers - Managing and auditing liens, including those associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation - Working within a case management system - Conducting intake interviews with new clients - Other duties as assigned
