This is a full-time, on-site position located in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of recent experience working for an insurance defense firm, and must be a Florida Registered Paralegal, Certified Paralegal or a graduate of an accredited paralegal program. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for various tasks, including preparing medical chronologies and records summaries, analyzing medical bills, drafting pleadings and discovery responses, and preparing trial exhibits. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure of multiple deadlines.
Qualifications:
- MUST be a Florida Registered Paralegal, Certified Paralegal or graduate of an accredited paralegal program. - Minimum three (3) years of recent experience working for an insurance defense firm, including familiarity with billing codes and ability to capture time and bill according to guidelines. - Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. - Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
