Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the trial process, including discovery, pleadings, hearings, trial exhibits, and filings with courts - Prepare legal documents and correspondence for clients, courts, and parties involved in cases - Forward and file legal documents and pleadings with the appropriate parties and the court - Organize and maintain case documents in the firm's case management system - Open, organize, and maintain files - Maintain attorneys' calendars, schedule meetings, and make travel arrangements - Monitor daily communications and pleadings to ensure deadlines are met - Update clients on the status of their files and cases - Prepare and submit client invoices
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a legal assistant - Previous experience in a private law firm, preferably in litigation - Understanding of real estate and property law is a plus - High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with experience in Excel - Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines - Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work well in a team and independently
Salary Information:
- Pay: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour
