Law Firm Seeking Experienced Litigation Client Service Specialist
Overview:
The Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Client Service Specialist to join our Client Service Team (CST) in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of related experience in a law firm or legal/corporate department, with strong knowledge of Massachusetts local and state electronic court filing procedures. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Provide superior client service by answering and screening calls, and assisting clients as needed - Work closely with attorneys and clients to ensure seamless transfer of information - Manage attorney calendars and assist in meeting deadlines - Prepare legal documents, memoranda, and correspondence - Transmit legal documents to clients, witnesses, and court officials - Process new business requests and maintain client case files - Collaborate with Legal Team Assistants and other resources to complete tasks and projects - Adhere to firm policies and maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus - Minimum of 7 years of related experience in a law firm or legal/corporate department required - Strong experience in Massachusetts local and state electronic court filing procedures required - Working knowledge of Massachusetts state and local court filing procedures and federal court rules - Must exhibit a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential situations with tact and diplomacy - Proficiency using legal terminology and experience in related practice area(s) - Ability to use a variety of office equipment and MS Office Suite
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- This role operates in a clerical, office setting - Medium work with physical exertion up to 50 pounds - Close visual acuity required for tasks such as transcribing and viewing a computer terminal
