Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters - Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents - Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials - Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts - Negotiate settlements and manage all aspects of case management - Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to junior associates - Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to trucking and general liability - Represent the firm at networking events and develop new business opportunities
Requirements:
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school - Active membership in the Georgia State Bar - 3-6 years of experience in general liability and trucking defense litigation - Strong research, writing, and analytical skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and work independently - Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings - Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service - Entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to grow and lead within the firm - Experience in handling complex litigation matters, including trucking, cargo loss, auto accidents, and premises liability, is preferred.
