JOB SUMMARY:
- Seeking a licensed and experienced Litigation Attorney for MRLP, a nationally recognized real estate and financial services law firm in the Midwest region. - Must be licensed in Illinois and Ohio and in good standing with the Illinois Bar and Ohio Bar. - This position involves handling a case load of contested matters for residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors. - Opportunity to make appearances in court, develop case strategy, and conduct settlement negotiations with autonomy. - Flexible work schedule and remote work options available. - Partnership track for candidates who demonstrate excellence and growth. - Competitive salary range of $100,000-$130,000 annually.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage case load of contested matters including residential and commercial foreclosures, title disputes, and other real estate and financial services matters. - Appear in court for routine and contested hearings, argue motions, and communicate with clients for updates and case resolution. - Analyze loan files, title reports, and other documents, and draft motions and written discovery. - Develop case strategy and conduct settlement negotiations with autonomy.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- J.D. degree, licensed in Illinois and Ohio and in good standing with the Illinois Bar and Ohio Bar. - Minimum 1-3 years of relevant litigation experience in mortgage foreclosure, creditor rights, and civil litigation. - Knowledge of Ohio mortgage foreclosure process is required. - Familiarity with Illinois and Ohio Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.

- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral form. - Comfortable working independently or in a team environment. - Professional demeanor and ability to interact and communicate well with clients, staff, peers, and management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

SALARY RANGE:
- $100,000-$130,000 annually.
