Litigation Associate Attorney at Shumaker Law Firm: Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Attorney in North Carolina
Are you an experienced attorney looking for a stimulating and rewarding career opportunity? Look no further than Shumaker Law Firm! We are currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As part of our Litigation & Disputes Service Line, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases for clients in North Carolina, South Carolina, and nationwide.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Draft pleadings and motions and confidently represent clients in both state and federal court for cases involving contract disputes, business disputes, financial services disputes, and construction disputes. - Minimum 3 years of experience in civil and/or business litigation. - Strong technological skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and practice management systems. - Excellent research skills and the ability to use online services, databases, and the internet. - Project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. - Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Education and Licensure:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school. - Active North Carolina bar license required; South Carolina bar license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit in a static position for up to half an hour at a time. - Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 20 pounds, up to one hour per day. - Occasional bending and stooping, up to half an hour per day.
