Job Description
Litigation Associate (Mid-Level) - WCO: Join a prestigious global law firm and work as a mid-level associate in the Litigation Practice at our Westchester County office. Competitive compensation and excellent benefits package included.
Experience Required: Minimum 5-6 years of litigation experience with judicial clerkships. Excellent academic credentials, attention to detail, and research and writing skills are a must. Must be a member in good standing of the New York Bar.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, research, and draft briefs addressing complex legal issues in state and federal court motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, class certification, writs, and appeals. - Collaborate with legal teams to develop strategies and arguments for cases. - Conduct legal research and stay updated on current laws and regulations. - Prepare and attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings. - Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines. - Communicate effectively with clients and provide sound legal advice.
Education and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. - Admission to the New York Bar. - Previous judicial clerkship experience required. - Excellent academic credentials. - Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. - Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Highly organized and able to work independently and in a team.
Salary Information:
- Expected pay range for this position: $270,000-$435,000. - Salary will be determined based on education, experience, job-related factors, and market data. - Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance, short-term and long-term disability, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and various voluntary programs. - Additional benefits may include vacation, sick time, employee assistance program, commuter and transit programs, and 401K.
