Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a qualified and experienced Litigation Assistant to join our team in Pensacola, Florida. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting lead attorney and litigation paralegal in various tasks related to case management - Maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes - Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Implementing and improving administrative processes for more efficient workflow - Conducting research on regulations, laws, and legal articles - Keeping track of client billing and resolving billing issues - Communicating with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions - Managing and organizing case documents in paper or electronic filing systems - Providing general administrative support, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and making travel arrangements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED - Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor's Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred) - At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department - Experience in personal injury, workers compensation, premises, first party, or other injury related practice areas (preferred) - Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision - Strong written and verbal communication skills
