This position will involve reading, analyzing, and summarizing bills that may impact the electric or telecommunications industries in Texas. The successful candidate will have experience in legislative or policy matters, as well as a strong understanding of the electric and telecommunications industries in Texas.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Admitted to the Texas Bar Experience in legislative or policy matters and in the electric or telecommunications industries in Texas strongly preferred Ability to interpret complex statutory language and produce client-ready work product succinctly summarizing it, absolutely required
Responsibilities:
Read and analyze bills related to the electric and telecommunications industries in Texas Summarize the bills in a concise and easy-to-understand manner Identify potential impacts on clients and provide recommendations Work closely with attorneys and other team members to ensure accurate and timely summaries Attend legislative hearings and provide updates to the team as needed
