Our agency is currently seeking law student interns to join our team in the Criminal Division. As a legal intern, you will have the opportunity to represent defendants in criminal, juvenile, mental health, and appellate proceedings. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of criminal defense, while also making a positive impact in the community.
We offer three different types of internships for law students: law student internships, paid graduate legal internships, and paralegal internships. Each internship offers a different experience and level of compensation. Read on to learn more about each opportunity and how to apply.
Law Student Internships:
Our law student internships are ideal for students who are interested in litigation and criminal defense. To be eligible, you must have completed at least 45 credit hours of law school and have taken a legal ethics course. We offer internships in the spring, summer, and fall semesters, with different application deadlines for each. Spring internships begin in January, summer internships begin in May, and fall internships begin at the start of the school calendar.
Paid Graduate Legal Internships:
For students who have already graduated from law school, we offer paid graduate legal internships. These internships provide a more in-depth experience and compensation for your work. To apply, you must have a law degree and be licensed to practice law in the state. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and start dates are flexible.
Paralegal Internships:
Our paralegal internships are open to students who have completed a paralegal program or are currently enrolled in one. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience and learn from experienced attorneys. Paralegal interns will assist with legal research, drafting legal documents, and other tasks as needed. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
