ABLE, a non-profit law firm in Ohio, is seeking a Legal Training & Compliance Coordinator to support their mission of providing equal access to justice for vulnerable communities. With over 50 years of experience, ABLE and its partner firm, Legal Aid of Western Ohio, are the only law firms available for comprehensive legal representation for over 425,000 individuals living in poverty in Northwest and West Central Ohio.

Job Responsibilities: - Assist with onboarding and training for advocacy staff - Develop training plans and ensure compliance with firm policies - Organize annual continuing legal education for advocates - Support racial justice advocacy initiatives - Ensure legal work meets applicable standards - Oversee project activities and monitor grant expenditures - Collaborate with managing attorneys to define project scope and goals - Track performance and provide progress updates - Evaluate ongoing projects and optimize resource allocation
Role Impact: - Support ABLE's mission by equipping staff with essential tools and skills - Ensure project compliance - Enhance advocacy outcomes through strategic planning and data analysis - Collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality legal assistance to low-income communities
Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school - 2-3 years of legal practice experience - Strong organizational and communication skills - Experience with diverse, inclusive work environments - Preferred: Project management experience or certification - Familiarity with project management software, LegalServer, and/or GIS mapping
Compensation and Benefits: - Annual salary range starting at $68,000 - Comprehensive fringe benefits, including health insurance, annual leave, sick leave, and more - Hybrid work possible with occasional travel between ABLE's office locations - Eligible for student loan repayment assistance up to $6,000 per year through Ohio Access to Justice Foundation
