We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing professional legal representation, advocacy, and community legal education to low-income individuals and families in Northeast Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a Legal Secretary for our Bloomsburg office. This is a full-time position with a significant benefits package, including employer-paid health and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid leave and time off for holidays. Employees may also qualify for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
As a Legal Secretary, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of duties, including legal secretarial work, client intake, and receptionist duties. We will provide training to help you screen callers for eligibility and use our case management system for calendar and client records. You will also use MS Word and Hot Docs for document preparation. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is helpful, and we require proficiency in word processing. Knowledge of legal terminology and principles is also desirable.
The salary for this position is commensurate with relevant experience, based on a salary scale. For the 2-4 years experience range, the salary is $19.66 to $20.43 per hour.
