Job Summary: The Legal Research Title Examiner will review title work and prepare title binders/commitments for Real Estate closings. This is a full-time position at the Corporate GC Office in Goose Creek, SC.
Responsibilities: - Review title work and prepare title binders/commitments for Real Estate closings - Ensure validity of title on properties - Examine all documentation, including mortgages, liens, contracts, etc. to verify ownership and restrictions - Research title evidence and obtain property descriptions and involved party names - Determine if any restrictions apply to individual titles - Prepare reports detailing any title obstructions - Consult with pre-closer regarding title-related information - Enter data in SoftPro Select to create title binder/commitment and other required documents for lender
