Job Summary: The Law Firm is seeking a Legal Research Title Examiner to review title work and prepare title binders/commitments for Real Estate closings. This is a full-time position located at our Corporate GC Office in Goose Creek, SC.
General Accountabilities: • Ensure validity of property titles • Examine all documentation, including mortgages, liens, contracts, etc. • Research required title evidence • Obtain property descriptions and involved party names • Determine any title restrictions • Prepare reports on title obstructions • Consult with pre-closer for title-related information • Enter data in SoftPro Select to create title binder/commitment and other necessary documents • May be assigned additional duties as needed
Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication • Strong service orientation • Effective time management skills • Active listening abilities • Strong problem-solving skills • Experience with SoftPro Select preferred
