Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled Legal Research Title Examiner to join our corporate GC office in Goose Creek, SC. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience as a title examiner, preferably in the real estate industry. Experience with SoftPro Select is also preferred.
Responsibilities: • Review title work and prepare title binders/commitments for real estate closings. • Ensure validity of title on properties. • Examine all documentation, including mortgages, liens, contracts, etc. to verify factors such as ownership or restrictions. • Research all title evidence required. • Obtain descriptions of properties and names of involved parties. • Examine individual titles to determine if any restrictions apply. • Prepare reports that describe any title obstructions. • Consult with pre-closer regarding title-related information. • Enter data in SoftPro Select to create title binder/commitment and other documents required by lender. • Ability to adapt and shift direction as needed. • Detail-oriented and focused on the details of work. • Thrives in a high-pressure environment.
Qualifications: • 1 year of experience as a title examiner. • 1 year of experience in the real estate industry. • Experience with SoftPro Select preferred.
Location and Schedule: • This is not a remote position. • The position is located in our corporate GC office in Goose Creek, SC. • The schedule is Monday to Friday, day shift, 8 hours per day.
