Key Relationships - Legal Recruiting Team - HR Team - Firm Leadership
Essential Duties: - Administrative responsibilities for Legal Recruiting Manager and Hiring Committee - Assist in recruitment and hiring of law school students, graduates, and lateral lawyers - Assist in organization and administration of summer associate program and first year associate orientation - Compile statistical information and assist in various projects for Director of Legal Recruiting and Firmwide Legal Recruiting team - Assist with maintaining databases and spreadsheets for candidate tracking, invoice processing, and orientation/onboarding - Assist with organization and distribution of materials for candidate submissions, interviews, and evaluations - Assist with lateral partner inquiries, scheduling interviews, and orientation - Assist with law school outreach programs and relationship development with career services offices - Review write-in applications and coordinate with principal recruiting teams - Maintain applicant statuses in internal database and prepare necessary correspondence - Coordinate and prepare lateral interview schedules and facilitate travel communication and expense reimbursements for candidates - Assist with planning summer program events, training programs, and meetings - Maintain recruiting files and prepare summary reports - Assist with implementing mentoring programs - Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed
Experience and Skills Required: - 2-3 years of previous administrative experience with relevant duties, previous law firm recruiting experience desired - High school diploma or General Education Degree required; college degree preferred - Accustomed to working as a team member - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent organizational skills - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time-sensitive assignments - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and sensitivity - Ability to interact diplomatically with lawyers and other professionals - Ability to project a positive image to legal community and potential applicants - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Experience with applicant data tracking system preferred
Additional Abilities Required: - Fast-paced work environment with high volume of administrative duties - Combination of sedentary, standing, walking, and reaching - Daily use of personal computer and telephone - May require overtime and occasional flextime
