Job Description
Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Receptionist/Secretary to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative support, preferably in a legal setting. As a key member of our team, the Legal Receptionist/Secretary will play a crucial role in representing the consumer and providing exceptional service to our clients.

The Legal Receptionist/Secretary will be responsible for handling the day-to-day administrative tasks of the firm, including answering and directing phone calls, managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and greeting clients. They will also assist with legal support tasks such as drafting and editing legal documents, maintaining client files, and conducting legal research. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Greet clients and visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or conference room.
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys.
Draft and edit legal documents, including correspondence and pleadings.
Conduct legal research and compile information for attorneys.
Maintain client files and ensure all documents are properly organized and filed.
Assist with billing and invoicing tasks.
Perform general administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal setting.
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is $37,440.00 - $44,920.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, the Law Firm offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan.
