Legal Receptionist/Legal Assistant at Law Firm
Law Firm is looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Legal Receptionist/Legal Assistant. The successful candidate must have two years' work experience in a law office and maintain a professional image at all times. They must also be punctual and have excellent communication skills. Job Duties:
Answer, screen, and direct calls for the Garland, Bedford, and Houston offices (Garland Main office only) Assist secretaries with calendaring deadlines Assist the management team with extra tasks as needed Save notification of service emails Manage conference room scheduling to ensure there are no conflicts Communicate with a professional and friendly demeanor at all times with clients, callers, and staff Prepare legal documents including correspondence, discovery, pleadings, etc. Schedule deadlines for pre-suits, pleadings, and discover, and pre-trial/trial matters Handle non-billable tasks for assigned attorneys, including preparing and updating active file lists Knowledge of court rules and procedures and be able to prioritize tasks accordingly Experience with e-filing documents with the court and knowledge of local, state, and federal deadlines
Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Ability to work in a high-volume, team-oriented work environment Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
