Legal Practice Assistant - Intellectual Property: Trademark/Copyright
Salary range: $53,200 - $85,150

About Law Firm: - Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP - One of the world's leading global law firms - Over 4,000 lawyers and staff - Over 30 offices - Hybrid in-office/remote working schedule - Flexibility with overtime required - Two-to-three-year commitment expected - Start date no later than June 30, 2025
Key Responsibilities: - Assist with preparation of trademark, service mark, and copyright applications - Assist with domestic and global trademark filings - Assist with trademark and copyright due diligence - Perform online preliminary trademark clearance searches and prepare search guides - Draft correspondence to clients and international counsel regarding trademark prosecution, enforcement, and maintenance issues - Prepare and update status reports for trademark and copyright applications and registrations - Keep attorney teams informed of upcoming deadlines and coordinate with clients - Establish, organize, and maintain case and client files - Manage case and client information manually and digitally - Assist attorneys with preparation and review of various forms - Coordinate communication and planning across teams - Provide administrative support, including conflicts-checks and business intake materials - Perform other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required - One (1) year of internship or professional experience preferred - Independent, self-starting, and self-motivated - Superior written/verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and within a team environment - Exceptional organizational skills - Ability to meet stringent deadlines and balance multiple tasks - Ability to manage confidential information with discretion - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, and PowerPoint - Understanding of trademark docketing software a plus - Flexibility to travel and work non-business hours as needed
Salary Information: - Determined during interview process - Based on multiple factors, including prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors - Final salary offered may be outside of range due to other reasons or individual circumstances - Salary may be part of total compensation package, which may include medical, financial, and other benefits - Details will be provided upon offer of employment - At-will position, firm reserves right to modify base salary and compensation at any time
